Excellent Team Work!
Our Buchanan Robotics Team participated in a region wide robotics preparatory competition at La Canada Flintridge High School this past weekend. Three teachers, the magnet coordinator and lots of parents where present to support their efforts. They did an incredible job of presenting their research both in showmanship and teamwork. We applaud their efforts and wish them luck as they fine tune their robots to meet the demands of the upcoming competition.

School-Parent Compact for Achievement sent home 1st week of December!
What is a School-Parent Compact?
A School-Parent Compact for Achievement is an agreement that parents, students and teachers develop together.
It explains how parents and teachers will work together to make sure all students reach or exceed grade-level standards.
Title I Parents, ELAC Parents, and School Site Council reviewed and revised our School-Parent Compact. The views of Parents, Teachers, and Administrators were heard at a School Site Council Meeting and the final version of the School-Parent Compact was approved.
The District Parent Engagement Policy is going home!

For your safety and the safety of your children please follow safe dropping off and picking up procedures. Make sure to park your car in a parking zone and walk your child in to school. If you drop off at the valet make sure to pull completely into the valet zone, drop your child off and then move forward so that other parents may have a turn. Show us your best bobcat spirit by being polite and respectful at all times. Safety matters!
We love our neighborhood schools March!
